SSC has announced all the important dates regarding SSC CHSL 2020 Exam, so as per the announcement Tier-1 online Exam will be stared from March 16th to 27th March 2020, and some of the most important dates are as follow:-

  1. Educational Qualification

The candidate should be a 12th standard pass out or an equivalent examination from a recognized university or board. For the post of data entry operator in the office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, there is a specific subject requirement- The candidate should be 12th standard pas out in Science stream with Mathematics as the main subject from a recognized board or equivalent.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level exam in three different levels for its different posts:

As SSC CHSl syllabus has 3 levels divided according to Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3-


SSC CHSL Tier 1 Syllabus


Number Systems: Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Relationship

between numbers.


Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.


Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.


Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.


Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.


Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2 𝜃 + Cos2 𝜃=1 etc.


Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart.


General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research


SSC CHSL 2020 Tier 2 Syllabus

Tier 2 is a descriptive exam which has been designed to test the written skills of candidates in English/Hindi. 


The candidates can prepare for Tier 2 by reading various articles and going through different novels, magazines, newspapers, etc. Other than this, candidates need to have good knowledge about the letter and application writing pattern.  


SSC CHSL 2020 Tier 3 Syllabus


In the SSC CHSL 2020 Tier 3 exam candidates based on the selection of post would be either required to appear for the Typing Test or Data Entry Operator Test. This test is meant for checking the practical knowledge of the candidate.
