The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has released 116 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector in four fields. An official notification, dated 09/07/2021 was released by the ministry regarding the same. GOI invites applications for these vacancies through online mode only. No other mode of application is available/acceptable.

 SSB SUB INSPECTOR 2021 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


The eligibility criteria for this job depend on the post you are applying for. The posts offered are as follows :


  1. Sub Inspector (PIONEER)
  2. Sub Inspector (DRAUGHTSMAN)
  3. Sub Inspector (COMMUNICATION)
  4. Sub Inspector (NURSE STAFF/FEMALE)


Essential educational and age qualifications are different for each specified post. The table below shows the required qualifications clearly

Degree or diploma in civil engineering from a recognised university or institute

Sub Inspector (draughtsman)

Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised board AND two year National Tradesmen certificate AND one year experience or certificate in AUTOCAD from a recognised institution

Sub Inspector (communication)

Upto 30 years

Degree in electronics and communication or computer science or information technology engineering or science with physics, chemistry and maths from a recognised university

Sub Inspector (nurse staff/female)

21 to 30 years

10+2 in science AND three-year diploma in general nursing from a recognised institute AND must be registered with central or state council AND two years experience in a recognised hospital

Nationality


The vacancies are open for citizens of India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

SSB SUB INSPECTOR 2021 SALARY


The salary of a sub-inspector working with the Indian government is attractive. The post falls in the level-6 category under the 7th pay commission. The basic pay ranges from Rs 35400/- to Rs 112400/- along with other benefits like house rent allowance, dearness allowance, etc. 


SSB SUB INSPECTOR EXAM PATTERN


The exam will consist of 200 objective type questions. 100 questions will be based on the technical knowledge of your field and the rest 100 will be based on four subjects comprising various topics. Every question in the exam will carry one mark. The negative marking will be decided according to the board. The exam will be two hours (120 minutes) long.
