What kind of questions are asked in the IAS interview?

The kind of questions asked in the IAS interviews varies from candidate to candidate as per their educational background and work experience if any. 


However, one thing that we know is that the questions are of a nature that tests you on your mental and social traits. 


Questions that are asked are usually to test you on your ability to critically analyze a piece of information, your balance of judgment, your mental alertness, logical prowess, and your moral and intellectual integrity. 


Some examples of wit-based questions asked in the interview are listed below: 


Q. How can you drop a raw egg onto a concrete floor without it cracking? 

Ans. Concrete floor cannot crack. 

Q. Name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday? 

Ans. Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow.
