NTSE 2022 Pattern: NCERT publishes the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2022 on the official website. NTSE 2022 will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen-and-paper for the two stages i.e. state level exam (Stage I) and national level exam (Stage II). The 2022 NTSE Stage 1 exam was scheduled for January 15, 16 and 30, 2022, however, it has been postponed for organizational reasons. NTSE 2022 Phase 1 is scheduled on December 17-18 this year. The NCERT exam consists of two papers, namely the Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and the Academic Aptitude Test (SAT).

 

NTSE 2022 MAT and SAT exams are conducted on the same day but in two different shifts, i.e. morning shift from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for MAT and evening shift from 1 :30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for SAT papers. Examination will be conducted in designated examination centers only, as notified by the state/UT for state level examinations and NCERT for NTSE 2022 Stage II examination. Candidates must present themselves for the exam with their valid admit card issued by the examination organizing authority. NTSE 2022 syllabus level is class 9th and class 10th only. There is no standardized syllabus for the NTSE 2022 exam at the state or national level. The difficulty level of NTSE papers is not too high.


 NTSE Exam Features - 

 

Exam Mode – Paper Test (Answers to be recorded on OMR sheet) 


Exam Material – Language/Medium Guidelines and questions will be selected from the language options provided by the testing agency for the state level test. NTSE Stage 1 will be in English, Hindi or any regional language.

The Stage 2 exam will be in Hindi and English only. Candidates are required to select a course while applying for the exam.


Total Exam Time – 120 minutes for all candidates, except visually impaired candidates who have 150 minutes for all.


Question Type – All state and national NTSE exam papers are based on multiple choice objective type questions.
