Current Affairs 2019-20 Naveen Patnaik, chief minister of Odisha has launched Jalsathi to supply safe water
On 18 December 2019 the CM of Odisha state has launched a program to supply safe water to the people of Odisha state. One of the current affairs for SSC CGL.
The project named ‘Jalsathi’. The aim of the mission is to supply safe and clean drinking water through the households of Odisha through pipe water connections.
The honorable chief minister also launched jalsathi app and also shared their views on the importance of drinking safe and clean water to maintain good health.
During the launch ceremony, the Odisha government has distributed water testing kits and point of sale machines to the women volunteers and named them as ‘jalsathis’.
