SEO Strategies to help you rank higher on Google

Digital World Published on 22 June 2020

Google ranking is a feature which is needed to get a rating for your website. In the great race to be at the top of the Google search results page there are plenty of competitors and algorithmic variations to appear, crawl, ride and jump. The competition is tough. With several strategies that transfer your power to Google's algorithm, there are many things that Google relies on to put your company in its place.

Google's algorithm results and data collected by search engines create a website. After that, these websites appear on the search results pages in an order that reflects Google's perceptions of each site's authority.

Being high-quality conveys the highest authority and "usefulness" of your site's link in terms of user search. The more traffic to your site, the higher your chances of producing leads and reaching potential customers.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is about simplifying search engines, such as Google, Bing, to find your website. It uses strategies to help search engines find the information you publish on your website (web content), and then edit it against similar websites.

You need to understand how people use search engines, to make your website stand out when they want your product or service. Search engines work by ranking and matching the web page's relevance to the search time used.

By making your website content more relevant to your customer's needs compared to other websites, you will have a better chance of appearing on top. When setting up your website, consider the following points to ensure that your website has the best chance of being well ranked.

1. Understand your online customers

As with traditional marketing, developing search standards begins with an understanding of your Customer behavior and needs market research to understand your customers.

2.Use keywords on your website

Keywords are words or phrases that the customer uses when searching. For example, 'online flowers' and 'where do I buy flowers online' are both considered important terms.

Matching keywords used on your website with the keywords that customers use when searching for you is an important part of SEO. Enter popular keywords or phrases into your website. These words can be used in areas such as page headers, content or as the image file name you use.

Keywords should be relevant and related to the business. Anything a consumer would use in a search engine would be considered a keyword or phrase.

Tip: Be careful not to overuse keywords, make sure your content still reads naturally.

3.Refresh your page

Add new content to your website every week. This may add information about a new product or service you are selling, customer news or product video. It is also important to update your web content pages at least every 6 months and to remove content that is no longer relevant.

Refreshed content attracts search engines more oftenly to visit your website. The more frequently they visit, the sooner they can find new content on your website. You may also see some standard benefits.

4.Get links from other websites

Applying a ranking on your web page, search engines look at how other websites provide interaction with your page and your website as a whole. For search engines, links from third party websites are considered a vote of confidence in the accuracy and usefulness of your content.

However, not all links are considered to be equal. Links from the most prestigious websites have more 'weight' than sites with less reputation. Generally, the more links you find on reputable websites, the better your website will be.

5.Enter the meta description tag

Although not always shown in search engine results, the meta description tag tells the search engine what your page is about. It's also a great opportunity to tell customers exactly what your page is about. This explanation helps search engines measure your site performance and determine how they rank your page. If your content is more relevant, it will rank higher.

Remember, search engines can change the way they use your content (including your descriptions) to produce search results. It is better to always check the search engine websites to find out if you need to update your content.
