JEE Main twice a year: Students change strategy

With change which was expected but not believed, students are again in dilemma to change their strategy in mid year.

With course which is exhaustive and over that studying them two different ways subjective for boards and objective for Main students are left with overwhelming competition which requires strategic planning and time management to excel in JEE Main exams & boards.

With option to give the paper twice is good but it will increase the stress levels of students linked to anxiety and confusion.

Effects of twice a year JEE Main & NEET on Test Prep Industry

Test Prep Industry will have to go for major shift in wake of news regarding conducting JEE Main and NEET exam twice a year.

Generally coaching institute finish courses by Oct/Nov/Dec, so we expect major chunk of student to give their JEE Main exam in January itself so they can concentrate on their board exams.

For NEET student giving exam in February shall be an issue because in March their board exams also start and various state boards start in February itself, so majority of medical student will give their NEET exam in May only.

Emerging trend of ditching engineering seats starts from Odisha

Out of the nearly 34,000 seats in private engineering colleges across the state, only about 8,000 have been filled up so far, leaving around 26,000 seats vacant.

Odisha has 38,000 engineering seats in total, out of which 4,086 are in eight government engineering institutes. With nearly all the seats in government colleges taken, it is the 34,000 seats in 86 private colleges that seem to exceed demand.
