The RRCB board has published a notification for upcoming jobs for 1,30,000 railway vacancies in India through its official website. Eligibility Criteria for the Latest RRC Northern Railway Apprentice Exam 2020


1.  Nationality / Citizenship:

Candidates who are applying for the Bhartiya Railway Vacancy must be an Indian citizen. Applicants can refer to the Centralized Employment Notice for more details on nationality or citizenship.


2.  Age limit criteria:

  1. Candidates who wish to apply for the RRC Level 1 Recruitment 2020 must not be less than 18 years old and not more than 32 years old.
  2. Age relaxation is applicable for ST / SC / OBC and other categories students.
  3. The age relaxation norm is different for each category: For ST / SC it is 5 years, for OBC it is 3 years and for ex-service men 3 years.


3.  Educational Qualification

The candidate must have passed the 10th class exam or its equivalent (under the 10 + 2 exam system) with a minimum score of 50% in total from the recognized board/University.


4.  Registration / Exam fee:

There will be a difference in fees for reserved category candidates and non-reservation category candidates. The registration fees for all categories are as follows:


·    For Unreserved & OBC male candidates: Rs. 500 / (only five hundred rupees)

NOTE: Rs. 400 / - (four hundred rupees) will be reimbursed by duly deducting bank charges from the total Rs. 500 / - (five hundred rupees), on attempting the selection process.

·    For SC, ST, Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Women Candidates: Rs. 250 / (only two hundred and fifty rupee)

NOTE: Rs. 250 / - (two hundred and fifty rupee) will be reimbursed by duly deducting bank charges.



Steps to Apply for RRC Northern Railway Apprentice 2020


Step 01: Open the official Indian Railways website or click http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/  


Step 02: Go to the most recent news section on the home page and click the download link for notifications.


Step 03: Now, the official notification will be displayed on the screen in pdf format.


Step 04: Read all printed general instructions in the announcement.


Step 05: If you are comfortable with the suitability of the desired vacancy, go further and press the "Online Application Form" link to start the registration process.


Step 06: Enter all the mandatory information such as Full Name, Father's Name, Mother's name, Age, Date of Birth, Gender, Caste, Nationality, Religion, Correspondence and Permanent Address, All Educational Qualification, Email ID, Contact Number, Aadhar Number, etc. in the prescribed format.


Step 07: Select the “Upload Photo” tab to upload the passport size color Photo (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 320 x 240 pixels) and then select “Upload Signature” tab to upload your digitized signature (50 mm x 20 mm or 140 x 60) at the end of the registration form.


Step 08: Pay the admission/exam fees using either the online or offline mode provided.


Step 09: Click the "Submit" button after checking the details.


Step 10: Download and save the system generated registration ID and password.


Step 11: Take a print of the application form for future reference.


Step 12: Registered number and password must be remembered by the candidates as it will be used to download the copy of the online application form, Admit card / Call Letter and Answer key, from the official RRB website.


NOTE: The official RRB website for online registration will be best viewed in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. The department will only consider applicants' candidature based on the information provided in an online application form. In addition, the authority will not be responsible for any errors occurring during the registration procedure.
