The Civil Services Examination is a competitive examination which is held all over India. This exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC). This exam is given by the candidates to gain a position in civil services of Government of India. There are various departments like the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service and the Indian Police Service for which these recruitment exams are conducted. In this article, we will discuss the UPSC results 2020.


Before that one must know that this exam is conducted in three phases i.e. first is the objective type paper (General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2 which is commonly known as Civil Service Aptitude Test) and secondly, there is the main exam which consists of nine subjective papers.



Recently, the UPSC prelims 2020 results were selected by the UPSC. The exam was conducted on October 4th, 2020 and the result was declared on October 23rd, 2020. This year the exam was announced earlier. All the candidates who have been qualified can now appear for the Mains Exam 2020 beginning from October 8th, 2021 till November 11th, 2020. The qualified students have to apply for Detailed Application Form (DAF-1) as per the guidelines of UPSC. The candidates have to log on to the official site and submit the DAF-1. The official notification for the same will be released on 28th October on the website. 


How to check UPSC Civil Services Result 2020?


  1. Log on to the official website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the result option and fill in the details to check the result.
  3. There will be an option of scorecard. Click on that but check the credentials like roll number and form number before proceeding.
  4. See your score. Determine that you are qualified or not and then take a print out for future reference. 


Around 11 lakh students applied for the UPSC exam. This year the difficulty level ranged from medium to difficult. A few students claimed that the exam pattern was the same as last year.
