The ESIC is a scheme controlled by the Employees' State Insurance Company (ESIC) in compliance with the rules and regulations laid down under the 1948 ESI Act. UDC is an upper-division clerk with a 2400 (6cpc) grade pay. The principal job is divided into two cashiers: sub-post-UDC and UDC. An UDC has work related to public transactions, employer transactions, cashier ships (special allocation), benefit payments, and various assigned tasks. A UDC regulates the work assigned to an LDC and MTS and reports directly to the employees. In this article, we will discuss about the ESIC UDC Exam in detail.


ESIC UDC Exam Date 2020:


The ESIC UDC exam date will be published on the official website of the ESIC. The official notification regarding the same was released on 14th February 2020 after which the exam date is yet to be announced.


ESIC UDC 2020 Eligibility Criteria:


Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply for this ESIC test.


Educational Qualification: Active applicants must be higher secondary pass from a recognized university/institute.

 

Age: Minimum of 18 years, Maximum aged 27 years.

Note that candidates should also have computer proficiency.

Employee State Insurance Corporation is going to release a major notice of recruiting for various Departments in the ESIC. Candidates should check the ESIC UDC Notification on the official website of ESIC. Below are the vacancies from last year i.e. 2019 for ESIC UDC post to give you an overall idea about it.

ESIC UDC Application Process:


  1. Visit ESIC's official website for ESIC UDC vacancies. 
  2. Find ESIC UDC application form on the home page.
  3. Fill the application form with useful details.
  4. Now add (self-certified) all related documents to it. 
  5. Then pay the Application Fee according to your group. 
  6. Check all the details now before clicking on the Send button. 
  7. Tap on the Send button after verifying all the details. 
  8. Finally, take a hard copy printout of that for use in the future.


Note that the application fees for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Females is Rs 250 while for candidates belonging to general and other caste categories have to pay Rs 500.

 

ESIC UDC 2020 Salary Structure:


ESIC UDC is an employee of the upper level, with a grade pay of 2400. The principal work is split into two cashiers: sub-post UDC and UDC. A UDC has government dealing functions, client selling, cashier ship (special allocation), benefit payment, and various assigned tasks.


Pay Level of an ESIC UDC according to the 7th Pay Commission is level-4 of Pay Matrix (Civilian staff).

Pay Band Rs. 5,200-20,200

Level 4 is Rs.25500/-

Dearness Allowance DA

7% of Basic Salary

Transport Allowance

Rs.3600 for communities in the group 'x,' and Rs.1800 for the rest

House Rent Allowance HRA@24% of Basic Salary)

24%, 16% & 8% respectively for cities of the categories X, Y, and Z.

Gross Salary

Rs. 37000/- ‘X’ category cities

Rs. 33000/- ‘Y’ category cities

Rs.31000/- ‘Z’ category cities





ESIC UDC Selection Process:


The selection process for the ESIC UDC will take place across three stages i.e. Preliminary Inspection, Main Examination, and Computer Skill Testing for Upper Division Clerk (UDC).

Preliminary Examination:


Preliminary Selection System for Upper Division Clerk (UDC) post in ESIC is as follows:

  1. One objective test in preliminary examination. 
  2. There will be four parts of the exam. 
  3. The overall length of the exam is for 1 hour (no separate sectional time). 
  4. The exam is of 200 marks and 200 questions.


Main Examination:


Main Selection System for the position of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) at ESIC is as follows:

  1. The Main Test is an objective test. 
  2. There will be four parts of the exam. 
  3. The overall length of the exam is for 2 hours (no separate sectional period). 
  4. The exam includes a limit of 200 marks of 200 questions.


Computer Skill Test:


Computer skill test system for selection to the Upper Division Clerk (UDC) post at ESIC is as follows:

  1. Machine ability testing is qualifying. 
  2. The exam will be held in three categories.
  3. The overall length of the exam is 30 minutes (No different sectional time).
