Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is an important prerequisite for admission to the Post Graduate Management programmes of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai. In this article, we will discuss about the complete NMAT Exam details such as the eligibility, exam patterns, colleges, etc.


NMAT is an online admission test conducted in India during a predetermined period. NMAT is a unique MBA entrance exam similar to GMAT wherein test takers get a chance to attempt the exam thrice in a 75-day test window.


NMAT exam is a candidate friendly exam. The exam is designed keeping in mind the convenience of the candidates. Candidates are allowed to choose their preferred date during the testing window as well as self-schedule the test, appointment date, time and venue based on the availability of seats at each test centre.


NMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria


  1. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature of India or other educational institutions established under section 3 of UGC Act,1956 .


  1. Final year students are also eligible to apply for NMAT test, but their admission will remain provisional until they submit the passing certificate. 

 

  1. International students or candidates who have graduated from an international university, have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).


NMAT Syllabus & Exam Pattern


NMAT is a moderate difficulty level exam. There have been no changes in the NMAT exam pattern during the last five years. The test takers can expect a good score. NMAT 2020 offers the facility to retake the exam in case your exam score in the first attempt is not satisfactory.


The NMAT is of 180 minutes and consists of Multiple Choice Questions where the candidate needs to select one of the correct answers. The sections in NMAT are Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. There is no sectional time limit and there is no negative marking in the exam.
