The CBSE board examinations, often regarded as the most crucial exam for high school students. This particular year, the CBSE Class 10 Exam pattern will be different from the previous years and students are expected to prepare accordingly.

  3. The exam is scheduled for 90 minutes.

Familiarize yourself with the exam Format, Syllabus, Date Sheet and CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Guidelines 


The exam structure, syllabus, date sheet and guidelines must be understood by students completely. The CBSE Exam Pattern contains information namely the type of questions, the number of questions, the exam duration, the marking scheme, and the sections covered, among other aspects. The entire CBSE class 10th syllabus for Term 1 should be thorough with students.  


The CBSE class 10th exam includes a total of 100 marks, which are divided into the following sections:


• 80-point annual board exam (Passing marks is 33 percent out of 80 in each subject)


• Internal Assessment: 20 Points (Periodic Tests* are worth 10 points each, Notebook

submission is for 5 points, and Subject Activities are worth 5 points)


*Note: For the final weighting, the average of the top two marks from three periodic tests will be used.

Solve at least one CBSE sample question paper every day, preferably from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in a setting that is as close to your examination hall/centre environment as possible. After you have finished the paper, use the CBSE marking method to grade yourself.

At the end of each week look at your preparation stage and identify your weak areas, also work to improve them in the coming weeks. Make it a point to complete the CBSE-provided sample papers while working on the sample papers.
