It conducts annual exams for the position of Assistant Manager in categories like General, Legal, IT, Civil & Electrical Engineering, Research & Official Language. SEBI Grade A 2020 Exam Date

As per the latest SEBI Grade A 2020 notification, dates have been extended in view of the ongoing pandemic. However, following are some tentative dates important for the exam:

SEBI Grade A 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SEBI Grade A 2020 exam are based on:


1.Nationality

Candidates must be:

  1. A citizen of India, or,
  2. Citizen of Bhutan/Nepal/Bangladesh with a valid certificate by Indian government


2.Educational Qualification

  1. For General posts: Masters degree in any discipline, bachelors degree in law, Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, CA /CFA / CS / Cost Accountant.
  2. For Legal posts: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute.
  3. For Information Technology posts: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical /Electronics / Electronics And Communication / Information Technology / Computer Science) OR Masters in Computers Application OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a postgraduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in Computers /Information Technology, etc. for different categories.


3.Age Limit

Candidates need to be not more than 30 years of age as on 29th February 2020. However, there is age relaxations for maximum permissible age for certain reserved categories as shown below:

SEBI Grade A 2020 Application Process

Following are the steps to apply for the SEBI Grade A exam:

  1. Visit the official SEBI website www.sebi.gov.in
  2. Click on Apply Online link for SEBI Grade A 2020 exam.
  3. Fill the application form as per given instructions
  4. Upload your photograph and signature
  5. Pay the application fee through challan/SEBI Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card. Following are the fee details:

SEBI gives individual admit cards for all exam stages on the official SEBI website. The admit card will be available 15 days before the exam date. Following are the steps to download the admit card:

SEBI Grade A Salary Structure

The Basic pay for SEBI Grade A service is Rs 28150/- per month, and pay scale is Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600 (17 years). Basically, A SEBI Grade A Officer can earn a gross monthly salary of ₹1,07,000 p.m. (without accommodation) & ₹73,000 p.m. (with accommodation). This amount includes NPS Contribution, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, DA, HRA, etc.

Final selections for SEBI Grade A service is done through 3 phases:

  1. Preliminary examination: Online objective-type test
  2. Main examination: Combined online objective and descriptive-type test
  3. Interview
