Which subject combination is the best in a BA for the SSC CGL?
To be completely rational, you can choose any possible combination or stream as long as it interests you because the SSC CGL syllabus hardly has anything to do with the stream you graduate in.
On the other hand, keeping the syllabus in focus, combinations with subjects like English, Mathematics, History, Geography, etc. might help you to an extent.
