    • For a healthy resting adult person, the ; average systolic/diastolic pressures are 120/80 mm Hg. Aorta is directly supplied by left ventricle thus, the blood pressure in aorta is highest during systole of left ventricle. The blood pressure in the mammalian aorta is maximum during systole of the left ventricle because of the muscles of the ventricles contract which leads to a decrease in the volume and thus pressure increases. The increased pressure forces the blood into the aorta. So, the correct answer is 'Systole of the left ventricle'
