    • Investment banking refers to particular business operations of a financial services firm or corporate division that involve advisory-based financial transactions on behalf of private persons, public companies, and public authorities.
    A provider of financial services that serves as a middleman in significant and intricate financial transactions is known as an investment bank. When a young firm is ready to launch its initial public offering (IPO) or when a company combines with a rival, an investment bank is typically engaged. Additionally, it serves as a financial advisor or brokers for major institutional clients such pension funds. 1
    JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Bank of America, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Bank are examples of international investment banks.
    A lot of these names also have divisions that take care of the demands of high-net-worth people in terms of investments and retail community banking.
