  • Number of trees last year=17640-[17640 x 5/105] =17640 - 840 = 16800 Trees Number of trees last of last year = 16800-[16800 x 5/105] =16800-800 =16000 Trees Hence Number of trees two years ago is 16000. Trick used-Add the given percentage in 100 as i have taken percentage as 105 because the given percentage was 5%.
