Introduction of bioinformatics transforming biology Bsc Courses Published on 30 December 2020 Bioinformatics is the branch of science that addresses biological questions with the help of computers, software tools and databases. It is a subdiscipline of computer science and biology which involves the acquisition, storage and analysis of biological data. This biological data is stored in the molecular form inside DNA, RNA and complex amino acids. The biological data of any organism is accessed and analyzed with the help of bioinformatics tools. With the help of computer programs, Bioinformatics studies the function of genes and proteins, it traces the evolutionary relationship between the organisms, and it also predicts the 3D shapes of proteins.
