The role of the AAO includes regulating new schemes, coordinating inter-departmentally, supporting branch operations, interacting with clients and managing claims and settlements between clients and employees. LIC conducts an entrance exam, LIC AAO exam for the same, details of which are provided in this article.

The Eligibility for LIC AAO exam 2020 can be understood under three broad headers, as given below:
1. Age Limit:
As of 1st February 2020, the candidates must be at least 21 years of age, and not more than 30 years of age. This means that candidates must have been born neither earlier than 2nd February 1990 nor later than 1st February 1999.
However, there are certain age relaxations, as given below:

Category Fees:
Note that the application fees for candidates belonging to SC/ST caste categories is Rs 85 plus GST and other taxes. While the fees for candidates belonging to OBC/General and other caste categories is Rs 700 plus GST and taxes.
LIC issues separate admit cards for the LIC AAO Exam prelims and mains examination, both of which are available on its official website some days before the exams. LIC AAO offers a basic pay of around Rs. 32795/- per month along with other admissible allowances as per the rules.
Allowances include House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible will depend on the location of your posting.
Final selection in LIC AAO exam is done on the basis of 3 exam stages and the subsequent pre-recruitment medical examination. The three stages are:
Prelims exam is the same for all posts whereas the mains exam changes a little as per the post applied for. It is purely qualifying in nature and its scores do not reflect upon the final merit list.

Please note that the English section in prelims is only qualifying in nature. The marks of which will not be added in the aggregate marks.

The Descriptive Test in English is purely qualifying in nature and will not be counted for ranking.
LIC AAO Mains Exam for Legal has the same pattern except for the subject Legal Drafting for AAO instead of English Language paper.
Applicants have to score minimum qualifying marks in each respective section as well as cumulatively as well. The minimum qualifying marks are decided by the LIC.
Note that there will be negative marking in the Mains Exam for objective test. For each wrong answer, 1/4th marks will be deducted.
LIC will release the Cut Off for both prelims and mains once the exam is over. Candidates are advised to check the official website of LIC for the same.
