The CBSE board conducts board examinations for classes 10th and 12th respectively. Choosing a career after 12th can be a quite tedious task as students are confused about various courses. Well, commerce is a stream that opens up a wide variety of courses for the students.


There are various students who have not taken mathematics as a subject so the options are somewhat reduced. Still, there are courses after 12th commerce without maths. Some of them are CA, BBA, CS, B.Com, etc. Now let’s talk about them in detail. 


1. CA (Chartered Accountant):


A Chartered Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accounts and other records of various companies. A CA course is difficult but it proves to be a boon if a student has got a CA degree. This course is for five years and a total of Rs. 18,000/- is paid to the ICAI for all the exams. Each exam/attempt is of Rs. 1500/-.


Now, let’s focus on the exam pattern. The exam contains both objective and subjective type of questions. The exam is for three hours and the medium is Hindi as well as English. There are in total of eight papers that the student has to give. The examination for 2020 is from 21st November to 14th December 2020. 2. BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration):


BBA course is one of the courses that you can do with or without maths. This course involves specialization in Finance, HR and Entrepreneurship. This is a three - year undergraduate course which combines business-related courses along with other generic courses like the language ones.


The academic fee varies from Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 2 Lakhs per semester. There are a total of 100 questions which are divided into three sections i.e. the English proficiency, Logical Reasoning and Maths. The exam comes in the MCQ format which ranges from medium to difficult.

The exams are conducted in the month of April and July for the odd semesters and in December and January for the even semester. After completing B.Com or B.Com Hons., you can have a job in and as a CA, CS, Business Accounting and Taxation, Chartered Financial Analyst and many more.
