The Union Public Service Commission published the CDS 1 application form 2023 on December 21, 2022. (UPSC). Until January 10, 2023, eligible applicants may apply for the  CDS 2023 exam.

The Union Public Service Commission published the CDS 1 application form 2023 on December 21, 2022. (UPSC). The deadline for eligible applicants to submit applications for the CDS 1 exam is January 10, 2023. Candidates who want to enroll for CDS 2023 must first make sure they meet the requirements in order to sit for the exam, and only then may they proceed with the application process described in this page.


The UPSC holds two sessions of the  CDS 2023 exam. Candidates who desire to join the Indian Armed Forces must pass the CDS exam. Cadets are admitted to the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad, the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, and the Officers Training Academy in Chennai after passing the CDS exam and the SSB process.

How to Fill Out the Online CDS 1 2023 Exam Application Form?


Fill out the CDS 2023 Exam Registration Form by following the steps below:


  1. Visit the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
  2. To continue, select the UPSC CDS 1 2023 link by going to the Examination Section >>. Active Examinations >> UPSC CDS 1 Online Application.
  3. In the first phase of the registration procedure, enter your contact information.
  4. After carefully reading the instructions, click the "Yes" button to continue.
  5. You will be taken to a new page where you may begin entering your information in section II.
  6. Enter your exam location, sign the necessary fields, upload a photo, and pay the necessary price in section II of the registrations.
  7. After carefully reviewing all the information, save the application and submit it.
  8. To save time later, get a copy of the CDS Application Form.


Eligibility for Combined Defence Services in 2023


The following are the requirements for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) I in 2023:


  1. Age restriction: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 28 to sit for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS I) in 2023.
  2. Citizenship: The applicant may be an inhabitant of Bhutan, Nepal, or India. A person who relocated from Burma, Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam and permanently established themselves in India is also qualified to apply for the CDS Admissions 2023.
  3. Educational Qualifications:
  4. Engineering degree from a recognized university or institution, Indian Naval Academy. 
  5. Degree from an accredited university (with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level) or a Bachelor of Engineering from the Air Force Academy
  6. Degree from a Recognized University or Its Equivalent, Indian Military Academy (IMA).
  7. Degree from a recognized university or its equivalent for the Officers' Training Academy.
