What is a feature story?A feature story is a factual analysis of an event, person, or facet of an important event that is not hard news but rather a more in-depth report. Feature stories are commonly featured in different media, including podcasts, TV, and radio. They typically appear as articles in newspapers, magazines, and other publications. Hard news articles, which are plain, factual reports of significant occurrences or events—just the facts—are distinguished from feature pieces by this difference. Hard news is frequently a component of feature stories, but their goal is to provide readers with additional descriptions and information. Feature stories are usually referred to as features. A human-interest tale is a typical category of feature writing. The main or featured article of a newspaper is referred to as a feature story far less frequently. Readers are given knowledge by feature stories that they may not need to know but that they (hopefully) want to know.
