The southernmost point of peninsular India is kanyakumari located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is also referred to as "The Land's End." Kanyakumari is Peninsular India's southernmost point.
- It is the southernmost point of the Cardamom Hills, which are an extension of the Western Ghats range that runs along India's west coast.
- It is situated between the latitudes of 8°03' and 8°35' in the north and the longitudes of 77° 15' and 77°36' in the east.
- Kanyakumari and the Equator are approximately 899 kilometers apart.
- It is located on the northern side of the equator's northern hemisphere.
